Finally the exams are over….

Finally, my exams are over and now I will be able to write blog posts as usual. (Although I am not sure if the exams had caused any alteration in the schedule….) Neverheless, I am happy that this is the start of a very long holiday… About 34 days to be exact.

As far as the exams are or rather were concerned, they went pretty fine. I think I did fairly well in all the papers. There were a few of them which caused a lot of pain in the a** but I came through all of them…

The last paper, the one I had today was a real bad one. I mean, the subject is my favourite one and I had studied all I could. But the problem was my writing speed. I think a new rule is in order. The writing speed of a person is inversally proportional to the product of his/her typing speed and talking speed :-) .

So, I was not able to finish the paper in time. I could only write 80/100 marks. And that too, when this answersheet was the thickest of the lot. I mean the lot of all my papers this exam not lot of all papers today.

The problem however was not that I could not finish the paper, the problem was that, I found that the book all the teachers use, for this subject, is full of mistakes. It’s the book on Digital Logic Design by Anandkumar. I have compiled a list of errata and it runs about 15 errors in the entire book. The errors are basic most of the times, but for the students who have not understood the concept, it is tiring and frustrating. They will keep getting more and more confused if they use this book.

So, what I am going to do is, I am going to write a mail to this author about this errata. Let me hope that he might inform the typesetters about this and maybe the next edition will be a foolproof one.

Till then, kudos… I am off to watch a singing competition on TV. More to follow soon…
