Kung Fu Panda… Kicking?
Finally I got time to watch Kung Fu Panda. As far as I can recall, final fantasy was the first movie that made me believe that animated movies can be good also. Since then, I have watched a variety of animated movies. Animatrix, Prince of Egypt, Road to El Dorado, Madagascar, Ice Ages, etc. I was kind of beginning to get bored with the new movies. The same old funny character, some humorous dialogs and stuff. No real strong story as such. I have to say I am disappointed in Kung Fu Panda also as far as the story part goes. The animation however has been on steroids these days. They are pumping out one movie after the other and animation part is improving drastically with each new release.
Kung fu panda is no exception. You can see a lot of nicely drawn animated fight sequences in this movie. There is a lot of fast action (obviously) and you won’t be disappointed. The story however, as I said, is not much strong. It is the same old thing, fat boy, hated, wants to be hero, eventually this being a good movie, has to end good. So, you guessed what happens in the end… All well, all good. The story has been chewed so many times that it might beat a chewing gum.
Apart from that, it is very nice. A story about a fat panda (duh) who wants to be a kung fu expert and all. The 5 big guns of Kung Fu are his idols. A mad instructor and over calm wisdom wise man.. whatever. Verdict? 3/5. All for the animation. If you are looking for a descent flick, go watch this one. Don’t have too high expectations though…. humor

I love the way the creators have designed the characters.. Each and every hair has been detailed.. way to gooooo!
