3 Idiots
On Thursday, 24th of December 2009, I received a call from my friend regarding this movie. He had somehow managed to lay his hands on the tickets of the premier show of 3 Idiots, the much hyped movie starring Amir Khan and crew (as usual, almost everyone else has a role much less important than his own). Having nothing better to do, I went to the movie with them.
3 Idiots is a surprisingly good movie. All the talk about the similarities with 5 Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat proved to be stretched so much that Young would have had an heart attack. The movie bears some resemblance with the book, but is nothing like it most of the times. The disparities were very much welcome. Contrary to popular public opinion, I don’t like the book very much. Notorious - Hitchcock
When I first read the synopsis of this movie on imdb, nothing stirred up inside me. The synopsis seemed strangely familiar to me. After few minutes of pondering suddenly a name flashed in my head. Mission Impossible 2. This would have pretty much sealed off the deal for me, but I had heard a LOT about Hitchcock’s movies from everyone, so I decided to give it a go.
I was exuberant that I did not decide not to watch the movie. Hitchcock, as usual, rocks in this movie as well. The movie is brilliant. Mission Impossible 2, though similar, is nowhere close to this movie. I am not going to compare the 2 movies here. This is just a recollection of the old memories stirred up inside when I watched another classic from Ingrid Bergman, Casablanca a few days ago. Hello there! To all the readers who have landed on this blog in search of some of my old favorites, I regret to inform you that the old blog no longer exists. I finally went ahead with the move I was planning for. This blog will now contain only non-technical articles.
The move was smooth and I am very happy to announce the launch of noob2geek. A website where we turn newbies into geeks. You will be able to read lot of articles about Linux, Windows, Web Designing, SEO of your blogs. In addition to all this, we also provide occasional tools to bring out the best web designer in you. So, for all the technical articles head over to noob2geek.
For all of you looking for the non-technical articles (my world famous Movie reviews for example)… I am sorry, but the old reviews no longer exist. I will import them as an when I get time from my archives, but currently, they do not exist.
This install of wordpress is still fresh. I am configuring all the required things right from plugin choosing till the theme building. I plan to make lot of changes to the ready-made theme. Once all the changes and the tweaking are in place, I will start with the import and posting. Till then, stay tuned.
