About
I am Aditya Shevade. Born on the 23rd of March 2003 (yeah… the same date India lost a World Cup to Australia… I support Australia by the way… cannot resist) 1989. Anyways, Aditya means Sun in Sanskrit (I hate Sanskrit). Apart from this name, I have many petnames which I do not wish to disclose here.
Exactly Who?
You already know my name. I have just uploaded my photo (20th November, 2007). So I don’t think you might have trouble identifying me if you see me roaming around. Still as an additional info, I am 190cm tall and I look attractive (again… take a look at the photo
). Yeah, one more thing is that, according to everyone I know, I walk a little too fast (must be the height).
What are my interests in Computers?
Looking at this site/blog, you might have guessed that I am a computer freak (or at least that is what my friends call me). I simply love to spend time with computer, trying to make my life enjoyable in the process. I like programming with C/C++. I am also a hardcore Linux fan.
Future Plans?
Hmm… This is a question whose answer I am yet to find. I mean, I have made some plans. But not one hard and fast way. (I guess whatever I have thought is better). I have decided two ways but I am not sure which one to follow. First way is doing MS and second is doing MBA, once I finish my BE. But right now…. I am busy in submissions most of the time.
What made me move away from the exotic world of computer games?
It’s a very long story (about 8 years old). In a short way, I had a 286 with DOS for 2 years. Then I had Win ‘98 for 4 years. Then I made the switch to XP and used it for about a year and half. I used to play games then. But the computer I had had only 32MB RAM. All the things combined together had an effect on me where I lost my interest in games. And when I got my first laptop, I had gone to Linux from M$ Windows. And as I said, by that time, my interests were changed and I was more bent towards programming and the rest of the stuff I have mentioned.
OK.. that was for games, but what made me turn so Geeky?
That would be my parents fault (for which I am very glad). They bought me a computer when I was 10. It was a 286. And having had a computer for so long and with my father also loving programming & studying on a computer, I guess I turned out like what I am today.
Is there anything I do apart from Computer stuff?
I am currently doing my engineering, second year in Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. (My hometown).
I love to talk, I love to be friends with people who share at least one of my virtues. (eg :- Laziness, Getting up late, hating studies, etc….
)
Apart from computers, my favorite thing is music. I love to listen to Ricky Martin, Kenny G. I also like many Marathi and a few Hindi songs. I also play a musical keyboard. I have a Yamaha PSR-E403. Whenever I get free time from computer, I play it.
Plus, I am fan of reading. My most favourite book to date is The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. I like many books. It is impossible to list them all here. My other hobbies include, collecting postage stamps. I have about 3000 of them, both Indian and foreign. I also collect old Indian and current foreign currency. And I like to play chess. I have even won an award at school level, and have played district level chess (but did not win… lost my spot in the states by 0.5 points).
Well….. That’s me. If you still have any questions to ask… shoot.

Hi Buddy!
Good job done! I really appreciate your tremendous interest in computers and related fields. Given under are few suggestions for your consideration:
1. Provide your photo. 3D image if possible!
2. You could provide some topics for debate. Chose controversial subjects.
3. Register at the MIT or Cambrige sites which could provide information about what is the latest in technology or computer related topics.
4. How do you propose to network with the ‘like-minded’ guys?
5. There is a need to polish the language used; grammer, construction etc.
What is your ‘bench mark’, to which you are working?
All the best!

Hey…
Thank you very much for showing interest and most of all reading this page. I re read the page and I did find a couple of grammar mistakes. Sorry for that. I am editing them.
As far as the ‘bench mark’ is concerned, there is no such bench mark in my mind right now. This is just a way of showing my presence to the world of internet.
About connecting with like minded guys, there is an excellent forum, the think digit forum. It is full of such people. Once I am done with my exams, I am going to ask people there to include a link to my blog in their blogs and I am going to include theirs. It has already been done to some extent. Take a look at the ‘blogroll’ on the right hand sidebar.
Thanks again for showing the interest.

Hey,
Thanks you very much for your valuable comments. And for learning Linux, I am anytime ready. But, the net connection here is too slow to have video conferencing lessons of Linux. SO I guess it might be the next time you come here, or I come to Mumbai

HI aussie - indian !
I hardly understand anything about computers. But having seen you grow as a little one, it really gives me immense pleasure to see the progress you have made in the software field.
Do keep it up.And do give us(the lesser mortals of computer world!) something to learn on your blog.I agree with Ravikaka, that your language needs to be more Aussie than Indian !! But that would come with time. Your father must be proud of you!
All the best.
And do remember that the Indians are in great touch just now, even if the Aussies are plummetting the weak Sri Lankans!!
Do keep your fingers crossed.

Hahaha… Well, the we will see. As far as the language part is concerned, can someone please tell me where are these little corners which need the polishing? And I will do something about providing a little non-technical side of the matter for other people.

OK. You are confusing me now. I am deleting the last two comments of yours. If you want to chat then please send me mails on my email address.
And who is it finally? The one who thinks I am good looking and the other who has been flooding this post with these comments? Aniket of Kishore kaka or someone else?
Regards,
Aditya
